Do you help with material selection?
Yes—we guide you through selecting the best material for your project, considering factors such as durability, appearance, weight, budget, and usage environment. We work with steel, aluminum, and stainless steel—each suited to different needs. Steel is ideal for strength and load-bearing structures; aluminum is great for lightweight applications or projects exposed to moisture; stainless steel delivers a polished finish and resists corrosion, making it perfect for kitchens, handrails, or architectural accents. If you're unsure where to start, we’ll ask questions about the setting, functionality, and design goals, then walk you through your options. We’ll also explain how different metals behave during cutting, welding, and finishing, so you won't encounter any surprises. We won’t just sell you on what’s easiest for us—we’ll recommend what’s right for your build. Material selection isn’t just about looks—it’s about performance, longevity, and overall fit. And we’re here to help you get it right.
Is design included in your pricing?
Yes, design is included when we’re doing the fabrication. We believe that design and build go hand in hand, so we don’t charge separately for basic sketches, layout planning, or collaborative discussions when you hire us for the full project. During this phase, we help shape your idea into something that’s not only aesthetically pleasing but also structurally sound and buildable. We’ll work with your goals, suggest materials, discuss finishes, and provide layout ideas or visual references to move the design forward. Only in rare cases—such as standalone design work without fabrication or engineering services that require detailed specifications for third-party approval—would we discuss a separate design fee. But for 95% of our clients, design is part of the package. Our goal is to keep things clear, simple, and cost-effective. When we say we offer full-service design and build, we mean it—start to finish, and all in-house.
Do you build both decorative and functional pieces?
Yes—we build projects that are decorative, functional, or a blend of both. That’s one of the things that sets us apart. Amanda’s design sensibility ensures visual appeal, while Matthew’s background in industrial fabrication ensures each piece is built to perform. How much input can I have?
